Trans FE Question...

Trans isn't stupid . They know 50% if policy's will have lapsed by yr 5 and there's no liability . How many dishonest agents clean sheet the apps with senior life with no mib or rx check ? I was just looking at $10 k on a 65 yr old male Ns . $56 with Trans and $65 with senior life preferred . If the agents don't lie I bet 50% of SL's apps would be standard at $90 a month

Lack of oxygen can affect every organ in the body. It is particularly hard on the heart and vascular systems. It can even affect the skeletal system and the nervous system. It cannot be cured or even reversed. There is no good news for those who suffer from COPD.
Have to disagree with you Louis. Bacon cured my Stage 4 COPD. Since I went Keto and started exercizing, I no longer use oxygen. The concentrator's collecting dust in the garage. :jiggy::yes:

Isn't that something! I'm very happy to hear that the progress has been sustained, monkey.

Quite a few companies take COPD standard. Americo, Transaamerica, KSKJ, Liberty Bankers off the top of my head. And it's not new. Been that way for many years.

Your info is incorrect. SL does RX checks on immediate coverage plans. SL's rate for your above ex is $51.30 (and includes AD) not $65.

Remember one company's preferred health questions will differ from another company's preferred health questions. Same for standard, etc. Can't really compare apples to apples using preferred plans, standard plans, etc. GI is apples to apples but not the other plans.

As far as some carriers giving immediate coverage with competitive premiums for COPD I think that will change as time goes by. In the last few years some FE carriers have tightened up some health questions, raised premiums on certain age bands, stopped paying commissions on ages 60 and below, left the FE arena, etc.

You are kind of describing the beauty of being independent. While some plans come and go through the years the independent agent has all the best options at his fingertips. I've only been selling insurance for 22 years so far but during that time frame I've always been able to get people with COPD (but no oxygen use) 1st day full coverage. The companies might change sometimes. But the ability to provide the best deal for the consumer stays the same.

Your ability to pivot on sales in the home from carrier to carrier or product to product... should be replicated in your ability to pivot carriers in your business quiver... your ability to add or subtract from your offering... "at will"... is the cap stone of independence.

My back ground has been, captive to one carrier, then captive to an FMO... I enjoy being an independent cuss.

Hi All,

I'm new to Trans so unsure of how they underwrite their life. This is for FE app L122 in CA. Proposed insured was in a convalescent home in 2018 for about 3 months, recovering from a fall.

Part C3, question #7, asked if proposed insured has used a wheel chair or electric scooter in the last 2 years.

Since she was in a convalescent home, and was pushed around in a wheel chair while recovering, would this automatically put the client into a graded policy?
