My Twitter page is a PR3.

Is that just a fluke or does it mean something? My tweets usually link back to my blog. Is that a good thing or not?

I am uncertain on how does an increase in twitter profile page helps. I Googled but hardly found any relevant info for this. One thing I feel for sure is that it will only help and not hurt.

Not really, How do you know your page is PR3 are you looking at the Google Toolbar PR? because if you are, its not even accurate.

Second, PR does not give a true reflection of the Authority or ranking of a specific site.

Third, Does it create Sales?

PR3 is great, however, like dmiller pointed out, you would want to examine this a little further to make sure.

I would have to disagree that it does not give a true reflection of authority or ranking of a specific site. It is a guideline of googles ranking system, they dont like people being obsessed with pagerank but after all, google thinks the more links you have pointing to your site the more credible it must be.

Feel free to google "page rank chart" to see how many links are needed for certain PR's.

I have 3 Twitter accounts and they are all at PR5. My biggest one has 8,000 followers. All of them are programmed to send out tweets on relevant news with links. Think of them as a headline news feeds for different things including insurance. I've been curious as to whether or not they can be used to build up my main sites PR. I do think Twitter is good for getting traffic over to your main site through tweets with links to your site.

In order to get a noticeable amount of business from Twitter, you will likely have to build a relationship with your followers. The backlinks will certainly help your SEO, but if no one is clicking on your links, this won't directly result in more sales.

Building a relationship requires you to Tweet things that your followers actually want to read. (A blog is a great tool to integrate with your Tweeting.)
