I have had my license (IN) for 1 1/2 years, been active for about 6 months and have decided it's time to fish or cut bait. I've tried direct mail, voice broadcasting, print media and internet leads. All with limited success.

Although I realize there is no "magic bullet" that will work every time, I also believe in working smart, no hard. I have concentrated in FE and annuities and would like to continue to do so.

So here is my question: What is it I look for in an FMO - IMO to truelly help with product knowledge and selling techniques? And what marketing strategies are best in use?

When you say you've "tried" all of the different lead generation services you mentioned, what do you mean? How many mailers did you send out? How often? Direct mail is the bread and butter of FE marketing.

As far as what to look for in an IMO-it depends on what kind of services and support you need. For some folks, going with EFES for reduced comp and paying for X amount of leads might be the way to go.

For others that don't need a lot of hand-holding and prefer higher comp-someone like myself or Mr. King might be a better option.
