Vemo Leads

Re: Vimo Warning....

I highly doubt Vimo is endorsing such tactics, this is clearly an affiliate.

Anytime you pay people to generate leads it will brew this type of behavior, no different than any other affiliate leads.

If you can't deal with that type of non sense then I would stay away from affiliate leads as I am of the opinion ALL affiliate leads are complete junk.

Re: Vimo Shared leads

FYI...VIMO will be cutting back (drastically) the $$$ they spend on Internet marketing until after Jan 1 (when rates go way down). VIMO has already slipped quite a bit on the search engines and the quality of leads will suffer.

My return rate has gone from 11% to 80% in the last week. So be careful with them for the next few months.

Re: Vimo Shared leads

Hey Chumps,

I just started to receive leads from them today. I have received 12 so far with no such luck. I've requested 2 credits already. I called them as soon as the lead came in and haven't spoken to 1 yet. I'm a little disapointed so far. When you said 80% return, are you speaking about credit requests? I'll try at least 50 before I stop using them. Any suggestions on a better lead company for innternet leads? Thanks, Chumps!

Re: Vimo Shared leads

Actually, I have requested a credit for 80% of the leads received over the last 3-4 days (8 out of 10). I spoke to a supervisor there today and he said they were basically shutting down the operation until after Jan 1. So, most of the leads will be from affiliates and not search-engine driven. After Jan 1...they will start spending their money again.

Insureme is so so. Netquote isn't bad, but you MUST request the zips that have less than three agents. Leadco.bz is a strange one. I request a lot of credits, but my ROR is very good with them.

Hope this helps...

Re: Vimo Shared leads

I used vimo for 10 days through an agency contract. My manager had recommended them and I got a discount per lead. the prospects seemed ok, but had gotten alot of calls. 10 days into my contract my mgr. said they were cancelling their contract due to some misrepresentations originally from Vimo reps. I closed 1 out of 20 and had quite a few credits. Leadco is pretty good if you have a solid occupational coverage to offer, since they target self-employed. They have a liberal credit policy and you can control the flow. Asap quotes is good. They will give you a smaller amount, because they are a mom and pop company, but seem genuinely commited to quality most of the time with a good credit policy. One lead slipped through, last night 555-555-5555. I'm sure I'll get credit.

Re: Vimo Shared leads

Why is Vimo cutting back on their own marketing? Is it the Christmas rush has driven the price of pay per click up through the roof?

I know it's very expensive for lead companies to get decent leads, and agents complain when they don't come banging the door down to get the deal (and then we complain that all they wanted was ......) Quality at lead companies tends to fluctuate a LOT, but I've gotten very leary of companies that buy mostly affiliate leads, rather than their own. It can never be good.

Re: Vimo Shared leads

The holiday season is the make it or break it time for many retail outfits so they pour the money into the PPC driving prices way up. Vimo realizes that the profit margin is slim or non existent during this time.

They also cutting the radio and TV ads for Vimo Live during this period.
