Vimo Attacks From The Cell Flank!!

Expat...I think I understand what is going on. If VIMO gets a lead past a certain time (maybe 9 pm)..they will "hold" that lead so that agents will not call them at all hours of the night. Then...they are released in the morning. Of course, VIMO would have more details on that.

Peer...You are probably referring to Juni Bay...near Tripoli. Nasty part of the country. Hezbollah isn't very fond of Christians or Jews. Of course, most of the country despises Hezbollah.

In the past when I have left the leads on overnight (Yes I know it was stupid) they show up in my email, even at 2am. So I will hold to my theory that there were not enough takers for those leads and they went into a queue. Of course I could be wrong. I hope so. Maybe Vimo will read this post and clear it all up.

Well the lead companies will be just fine. There's enough new agents hopping on the band wagon thinking the end to their financial woes are 10 more leads away.

Just my point... we have to find another way to get their attention... and a site like this helps...but their are other ways, like contacting the media outlets that did a prior inteview with the lead company in question and say to the reporter... wanna hear the other side of their story?? do a google of vimo leads and u will see some post from this site... it takes time for the search to capture them

So typical:

My last two leads (within the last hour)...both located within five minutes of my office. The first one was a 36 M looking for a job. He thought the medical questions were part of a job application. He said he'll take the quote but that wasn't what he originally wanted. Thanks Insureme for that one.

Second one- 62F in decent health. Has BC Ind plan for about $580 per month. I quoted Aetna and UHC for about $400 each. She's stopping in Monday to hand deliver one of the the apps (that I emailed her).

My point-Shared leads suck. Then they're great. Then they suck. Just keep track of YOUR ROI. And unless you have a decent website, if you buy just local lads...your ROI will be fine...after some practice.

Even with an influx of new agents no lead company can stay afloat unless they have established repeat clients. You simply cannot dump off your current block of agents by generating bad leads.

Vimo and other companies are not trying to con, scam or fool us. In almost all cases it's "affiliates gone wild."

Anyone can be an affiliate and what better way to make money then to try and generate leads for the lead cost possible. What companies like Vimo and other have to do is get tough on affiliates, sample leads constantly for quality and require all affiliates to disclose all marketing techniques.

I agree... its not that i have a prob with vimo, insureme, lead co or whoever else you want to plug in.... i have a problem with the entire process and want it changed... the affiliats and marketing practices of the lead companies is what i have a problem with. and then after whoring the lead out to 5 of us it gets resold and then a nice big fat check from ehealth comes to them.... they are playing both sides against the middle

So it begs the question...why do you continue to give them your money? To get abused? Are you a sadist?

or...

Instead of using the energy to bitch, moan and complain (and still keep feedin' 'em your $$$) why don't you use it to start your own lead company. You could run it any way you like...

Man....what agents will go through to avoid prospecting.

And the irony is so thick. The same agents who won't cold-call for fear of getting told "no" end up calling shared leads and bitched out for being the 5th agent to call.

It's not calling leads that works - it's calling. And no one seems to get that. If you spend 2 hours doing nothing but calling leads and I spend 2 hours doing nothing but telemarket we're both gonna end up with deals.

The difference is I'm bugging people for 15 seconds - other agents are part of a pack of wolves that are bothering people for a lot longer.

You think these "leads" really want an agent to call? LOL!!! Right....let's put on the front page of every lead site that agents will be calling and watch your lead volume go down by 95%. They don't know you're calling - they don't want you to call.

It wouldn't be a problem with most leads if a single agent called. Try being number 8 within 30 minutes. They don't like you much.

My single biggest problem with shared leads, and this is a bigger problem in Silicon Valley than most places, is the number of times the lead is sold, especially if it comes through an affiliate. I have been told several times that I'm the 10th or 12th agent calling. I used to write it off to the fact they filled out several quote forms, now I think it is an affiliate that sells the lead multiple times.

I don't really moan and groan, I simply have turned off almost all shared lead sources. That makes a huge statement, and I make sure I tell them why I am pulling the plug. In a few months, they will clean it up, and I'll go back.
