What is the best way to allow consumers to quote out their Health policies online and allow them to purchase them via the web? Do you use something like QuotIt or Norvax as an integrated part of you website? I don't want to just have the form emailed to me for me to run a quote - but I want to allow the consumer to purchase while they are online.

I have used Quotit for years, and before that, Norvax for 6 months. Most of the folks who fill out apps direct through my site are way too short to get approved for coverage with any carrier.

I attempt to call everyone who runs a quote and call them as quickly as I can after receiving notification. About 80% of the phone numbers are bogus or never answer. I usually write half of the remaining 20%, the others are usually uninsurable.

I cheated on mine. I went to www.cj.com and pick a banner for ehealth and some other health companies and just added the banner and I still get paid when they buy it in any state.

It did not cost me a thing to do it.

How long have you had the eHealth banner from CJ and how much do you make each month from them?

I don't think I would do that since it has the potential of taking GA business away from me, but I am curious.

I've made about $300 bucks from it in the last year.

But, it didnt cost me anything and that is not my market. So it does not take away from my market.

Interesting approach, would you place Google Adwords on your site as well? Guess the downside to any external links is they take the user away from the current site (i.e. yours) they are on.

But if you can capitalize on it w/o affecting your bottom line, nice work.
