Weird Doorknocking Question

Apologies for the oddball question, but it's one I've thought about but haven't run into yet. Have any of you doorknockers(could apply to appointments as well) come up on a house with an aggressive pet dog outside? If so what did you do? Did you try and proceed then or maybe tried to come back later? Call the home owner to try and have them calm the animal down, etc.?

I know I'm not going to just magically teleport past it but still, haha.

Adjust your sales and stop door knocking. In this day and age you can sit in front of your computer with screen share software and sell everything from the comfort of your own home.

Hang in there buddy! I was a late bloomer too. At some point in time, common sense should kick in and you'll be fine..
