Wellcare paying no commissions on pdp’s

So how's everyone doing on moving your Wellcare book so far this AEP?
I have moved so far 43% of my clients off Wellcare to commissionable plans for 2025. I still have 41% remaining to tackle. Yes, I was unable to move so far 16% of my book, but if this trend continues I consider it a win.
Most who stayed are the ones not taking any meds or maybe one or two generics. I had quite a few even on no meds say they wanted to move just because they feel Wellcare is a crap company to do business with if that's how they treat their beloved local agent.

moved some of the PDPs, but a few more went to wellcare. probably a wash.
 
So you think Medicare is on his radar, lol he doesn't give a 💩 about Medicare, Medicaid me or you, or agents , aca is on the radar because of its nickname. His boy steveive Miller is going to dismantle the SS disability system, if you're under 62, your going back to work, if you on aca , it's done in 2026, they got 24 month to dismantle as much as the can , and the filabuster will be gone by April 1st
I see a lot of people who are on disability plans that are legitimately disabled and struggling. I also see a lot of people who could work a job, maybe not the job they used to do, but some type of job.
I also have a clients who are very wealthy that pay $0 for Obamacare.
The system needs to be reformed, and the Big Gov't needs to get smaller and let the market work.
With Trump 1.0 we had ACA rates decreasing with more plans and options to choose from within ACA and outside ACA and Medicare plans had richer benefits because of his policies (some which didn't roll out fully until 2021 and 2022 and now being cut back because of Biden's interference). We also had less Big Gov't in our business. No recorded calls, 48 hr scope, disclaimers, consent forms, on and on.
I think Trump 2.0 will make selling health insurance great again. Bring it on.

Are you really spending time trying to move wellcare plans?

I moved a bunch but not because I aimed to move wellcare plans, but mainly if they have tier 3 drugs they are better off on UHC
but when one is best on wellcare I send them there

When Cigna was non comish and they turned out best I sent clients there

We are not in this buis for drug cov commission, and the amount of time wasted on drug coverage is time lost on selling better paying plans

If we all spent our time trying to switch what do you think that would do?

Will that get us paid from WellCare? will that change anything? it will be a drop in the bucket and make no difrence

Clients care that you care, when clients call and say I hate this WellCare lets change it, they cant get my mail order right I am talking to people from another planet I cant understand then I hate them

I say well I got this plan from Humana for $25 or Cigna for $22 for the same coverage

Every time Well I think I will just stay with WellCare., I can just pick up my meds at CVS right?

What would you rather a couple good referrals because you put your client first, or some extra commission doing a drug plan for a much higher premium that is going to be no better

I am not doing for the commission for crying out loud. I'm doing it for the spite. Mostly, however, for the consumer. Wellcare likely will be a mess next year in terms of service and support.
I lay out the options and let the customer choose. I'm honest and forthcoming. Some choose to stay. Many however choose to move. Sure, spite plays a motivating role, but only if it benefits the consumer of course.
 
I have a good number of clients on the cheapy Silver Script PDP that is migrating to the $44.90 plan. Every single one of them has been given the Wellcare enrollment phone number and told how to enroll themselves. Not a single one of them has been given a sob story about poor poor pitiful me. They are just told that this is the right plan for them and that WC has chosen to not let brokers write their Rx business anymore.

It is simply not worth my time or energy to give an iota of thought to this. As Vic said above, there are SO many more ways to be financially productive and also keep my Zen as pure as possible.

If I only had 20 clients I'd probably look at things differently.

WellCare is stronger when you move the sick people and leave the healthy ones to stay with their plan. It probably just makes things worse for those who are paying commissions.

IMO

Nothing good in buis comes out of emotional decisions
