Wellcare $0 PDP in 2025

This. WellCare is absolutely dead to me until the end of time. I hope that company figuratively burns to the ground, and I will do everything in my power to try and make it happen.

I'm having 20,000 mailers printed up and am having them delivered to all the mailboxes in my neighborhood, telling people what they did and to stay away from this company that likes to steal money.

I'm also listing all the names they operate under, on there….Centene, Ambetter, Healthnet, Fidelis, Allwell, and MeridianCare.

I also posted paid ads on Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, and X (Twitter), informing the general public of the unethical and felonious way this company operates.

I encourage everyone to do the same. Facebook and IG ads are dirt cheap.

I also do ACA under-65 market and just convinced two of my clients to switch from Ambetter to Blue Cross during open enrollment. They'll save a little money, too. Nice

In case you couldn't tell, I don't take theft of my money lightly or kindly.

F**k em. the gloves are off.
Tell us how you really feel

Same though ... f with my livelihood and it's on...never gave Amwell a thought, now I know....

Several years ago I came across a guy in the exact same situation.
Ended up helping him cancel his Bankers Life/Colonial Penn plan G, and he ultimately received 3 years worth of premiums refunded to him.
Bankers Life is NOTORIOUS for enrolling people in supplements when they already have an MAPD. They are the epitome of an unethical garbage company. Their quotas must be insane for those sheisters to be doing that to people. I personally dealt with 5 people that I had to cancel their supplement because they were illegally enrolled in it when they already had an MAPD. Total fraud mill. One of my clients said they use EXTREMELY high pressure tactics. My client thought they had to have the supplement AND the Medicare Advantage plan, because that's what the sheister told her. 🙃

remember this?

I wouldn't doubt it. They're a shitty MedicAID company that was never used to paying agents, and then they decided to get into MediCARE and the ACA with the companies they bought up.

I know some people in here might roll their eyes or think I'm being extreme with my suggestions and tactics, but if we don't fight this hard, this is gonna become a trend in many different lines, not just PDP's.

Being passive/complacent and taking it up the rear end does none of us any good. Giving them bad publicity on a MASSIVE scale, while simultaneously taking our valuable lines of business away from them (Medicare Advantage, ACA, etc.) is how we win.

Also, if any of you have people that take lots of prescriptions, and or very expensive prescriptions, just leave them with WellCare. These people will drain them.

Just remember, nobody in the general public likes an evil and greedy CEO. Use this to your advantage. People are tired of seeing these kinds of evil things being done by big government and/or major global corporations.

After reading this thread, I honestly feel for the agents who have been in the industry for a long time that you lose any of your part d. I think for newer agents with MS its probably easier for them because they really didn't have a chance to experience any part d commissions so they learned from day 1 not to rely on it. Then with MAPD, if your book is reliant on it and you sell a lot of it, same thing, it hits differently.

With that said change is inevitable and you either choose to adapt or don't, which is always easier said then done especially when its hitting your bank account. I also think that every agent has a right to choose how they do business and why. For those who went into business for themselves, isn't that why you did it? Isn't that the point of it too? You get to decide whether you want to sell any product and why. As long as you are honest with your clients, give them the right to choose for themselves and you follow the laws, you can't do wrong in this industry.

I am grateful for this forum because no matter what topic is discussed you get to hear different opinions other than your own, especially from those who have a lot of experience. I will always welcome stepping outside of my own perspective so I can learn.

Maybe the answer is to make your business diversified from all angles as much as possible and not to put all eggs in one basket. Try to have a diversified product offering, diversified carriers, a diversified client base (younger/older, higher/lower income, super healthy/health issues, etc) diversify, diversify.

We have basically stopped discussing even Wellcare MAPD plans, UNLESS it is beneficial to do the right thing. So far, they haven't ranked. Sorry Wellcare. We did love your company. :)

I'm finding more and more people getting info on Medicare.gov showing them that WellCare is their best "value".

I'm not going to get into a disagreement with them when they're right and I'll write the WellCare plan so I don't lose a med sup.

Sometimes you gotta use common sense

This is one of the bigger problems nowadays....people looking up things on their own, and then think they know it all, over a licensed agent who has done this for a living for many years. Sure, on the surface Plan A might seem better than Plan B, but we also know a million inside things that you as a consumer do not. You're right, it's best not to argue with these people. There are so many people out there making bad decisions and needlessly wasting money. Oh well...you can't save everyone from themselves.
