What Do You Drive?

HEHE,
Did you see ME in the picture?? I wish!

But once my oldest finally left home I had a friend that asked if I wanted a ride in his new Piper 4 seater. WOW, once around the patch & I was hooked!

So in October 2007 took my first lesson. I can only say it is the most amazing fun I've had in years! I highly encourage anyone if they've ever had the itch, go visit their local General Aviation airport. Take your spouse or kid with you for a sight seeing trip. You might spend $100 but you'll have the time of your life.

We all need goals don't we?

Interesting how the lead vendor has the best vehicle. :D

During the California gold rush, the vendors of both hard and softgood made more money than the prospectors. There are stories of shop keepers salting a stream just to keep the suckers, er... Customers coming back. Kinda like the casinos.

2010 Toyota Tundra. I'm a truck guy so that limits which name brands I'll look at. I don't like the Chevy or Ford at all. I'll pass on Dodge too, but like it better than the other two. Between Nissan And Toyota, thats an easy decision. I have gotten several comments on my truck and 95% of what I do is in the office. But every time I have gone out on an appointment, I get some sort of comment on my truck. A few times I've gotten, obviously your making too much, etc., but usually I just get, I like your truck or whats the MPG etc.. I have a small lift on it and bigger tires, so it does stand out a little bit.

VaDwayne, you are so encouraging! ;) While it is still depreciating the reduced mileage will save some on maintennace and upkeep and the vehcile will also be worth more than a higher mileage vehicle.

My point was the fact that a cars value drops like crazy regardless of what you do. As a example.

My 2007 Taurus that I purchased in 2008 with 20,000 miles on it, retailed for around $23,000. I bought it at the auction for $8700.00 and it was only one year old. If it had only 15,000 miles on it, I probably would only had to pay another $3-500.00 for it.

Honda and Toyota used to be able to brag about resale value, but no more. The drop just like any other car, maybe faster than Ford now. Hyundai is the car to buy now if a person is worried about resale value. The quality is top-notch, the sales are up 26% this year, and most get amazing fuel mileage.
