What Do You Drive?

My favorite ride in the stable is my 04 Harley Davidson Screaming Eagle Deuce! But my daily driver is 2010 Lexus GX 460 premium.

I drive a 2006 Mazda3 5-door (aka- hatchback). I bought it new in 12/2005 and it has 83k miles on it. But I try to keep it clean, inside and out, and it looks pretty sharp when it's clean. Sporty and fun to drive, but still practical and fairly economical.

I work in the same office with my cousin and I use her 2009 Ford Edge sometimes. If I'm taking customers or prospects out to lunch, I will use her car because it's roomier than mine. I also used it recently when I was meeting with one of her Commercial Lines customers to discuss insuring his home, seven rental properties, five vehicles and a personal umbrella. She warned me that he had a hardcore "Buy American" mentality, so I should arrive in a Ford (even if it was made in Canada) rather than my Mazda (made in Hiroshima)! I got all of his personal business as well as that of his daughter and three of his employees!

I don't have to do any justifying for my american cars and trucks. One does have to try and justify their buying of foreign crap.

Believe whatever you want. The "profits" go to shareholders or to repay bailouts. If you want to support American workers then look at where the vehicle was manufactured. American jobs vs. Canadian or Mexican jobs... that is what it boils down to.

I just recently bought a 2002 cavalier with absolutely no options in it to put the miles on for work. I was driving a 2011 Equinox that we got in March but it made me sick to see all the miles being put on a brand new car. 7.5K in 3 months.:swoon: I have seen no change in the amount of policies I write so my conclusion is that your ride makes no difference. :GEEK:

Bad news is, it's going to depreciate just as fast sitting in your driveway....

VaDwayne, you are so encouraging! ;) While it is still depreciating the reduced mileage will save some on maintennace and upkeep and the vehcile will also be worth more than a higher mileage vehicle.

1999 Grand Prix GTP -- drop pulley, 1.90 lifters, custom exhaust all-the-way-back, PCM upgrade, customized M90 supercharger, polished intake.

Looks like a grocery-getter; but I can get those groceries at 160 mph.
