What drives traffic to you're site?

For those of you who are generating leads via their own web page...what kind of content do you guys put up to draw traffic? Any advice is greatly appreciated

It's trial and error at first. My first website didn't have organic traffic for eight months until we posted content (three blog posts and a video) about Life Insurance Awareness Month. Since then (Sept. 2018), we're getting about 1,800-2,000 unique visitors monthly, which isn't huge, but it generates appointments.

The reason it's trial and error is because it's pretty much impossible to pin down exactly how the search engine algorithms work but if you put yourself in your potential clientele's mindset, you can flesh out content based on what you'd imagine most insurance shoppers are searching for; what's covered, how much does it cost, what's in it for me, do I actually need this type of insurance? Then, go a level deeper. Weigh pros and cons. I usually post blog articles twice a month aiming for 1,000-1,500 words--videos less often (video content is better for social media IMO).

Speaking of social media, I've found it helps to cross-post your website content to your FB or LinkedIn business page and pay for clicks there. It's cheaper and easier than using GoogleAds in my experience and has a decent ROI.

It is far far easier to draw traffic from local content vs national content. For some lines of insurance local search may not be helpful, but for other lines of business it can quite lucrative.

One way to think of this is to find a more local risk mgmt problem and blog about the solution.

Smart as well. Thanks for the advice! cant wait to start experimenting with these ideas

I'm a new agent in Florida and debating whether I should invest in leads or generate my own leads.

Are any of you using sales funnels?

Are you using a web service like clickfunnels? I have been doing some research and it looks like for sales conversions, clickfunnel is very strong. Only problem is $100 per month.

¿Porque no los dos?

What market are you in?

I use funnels because it is hard to buy leads in my market (disability insurance). Funnels can be great for more complex products as well (they can be good for anything, but even better for complicated products, like annuities)

If I were selling a product where I could buy leads at a reasonable cost, I would do that as well.
