What is Far on Splitting Commissions?

Probably a dumb question but as a sole proprietor, how do you 1099 someone?

You complete a form for your taxes for income you have paid someone else that you did not withhold taxes for.

You deduct this amount of income from your taxes.

The person you paid reports the 1099 as income on their taxes.

As long as everything matches up, you won't have any IRS trouble either.
