I need the same thing. A big producer I met once suggested buying ACT on eBay. He said buy the prior version.

I think this was a year ago and he said by 6.0. I am not sure what the current version is. He said buy a 3 seat version. Does that sound like a good plan?

ACT 6.0 was the best for LONG time but now I would go to either 2009 or 2008.

If you use a Palm Based phone or PDA then ACT 2008 is best because it will work with the excellent ACT for Palm software.

ACT 2009 will no longer support ACT for Palm which is a shame because there is nothing else that replaces that. BUT since the Palm OS is a dead system, you can't expect it to last forever.

I tried a couple of the free online CRM's. Zoho, Salesforce.com and freeCRM. God, they are all so slow, compared to a non web-based crm, i couldn't stand it. It seemed liked it would take 3 or 4 times longer to click through everything.
