Correct, and yes it’s not much. Better than nothing I guess. I still feel like most dental plans have a waiting period. Even when they say they don’t, it’s just reduced. Except UHC. Same coverage from day 1.

Ameritas Preventative is 100% day 1, Basic is 50%/80% Yr 1/2, Major is 20%/50% Yr 1/2. Year 1 max benefit is $2500 yr 2 is $3000

The most expensive UHO plan in the same area has tiers by year (you actually have to get to year 3 to get the max tier. AND some of those plans do have a waiting period for major services.

Please note, chazm is not talking about the dental gen series of plans when he makes his UH statements.

Also, in my years of membership here I have been continually reminded by an experienced agent that Dental Coverage %'s are meaningless unless you give some consideration to the concept of "Percents of What?". I think that is either the top, or very close to the top, Insurance Forums Dental Insurance Evaluation training concept I have received here in the last 8 years.
