What software do you use to manage your clients?

I use the PREMIER edition of YIO. By paying a little extra, Frank flies out and enters all your data into YIO for you. This also includes a monthly update where he shows up again and makes certain everything has been entered, etc. He also brings lunch for everyone.

Really, it's worth a few dollars more.

He also has provided me with links to all the free porn sites.

What a guy!

Anyone use SmartOffice by EZ Data?

It has a lot of powerful features but it is a pain in the ass keeping up with all of the updates and changes.

I've had it for 4 years. I'm not happy with it but dread changing.

I have done pretty much the same thing with Gmail which is synced with Outlook.

Anyone who is in this business and is not taking advantage of all the opportunities to have whatever office/home system they are using also sync with something like Yahoo or Gmail is really missing out.

Gmail's online calendar and mail systems are really, really well done and go with Outlook seamlessly. I can access this info from anywhere on my cellphone.

And, they are free. ;)

I like the idea of synching with G-Mail Calander or Yahoo BUT how do you synch with Outlook without losing the link between the appointment and who it's with?

If I synch with Outlook, my appointment with John Smith becomes an appointment in MY history data not John Smith's. I've tried Companion Link and ACT Link and everything else. I don't want all my notes and appointments to be under me in the database, I want them under each client.

It's OK if I just want to go from ACT to Outlook. But if I go back to ACT from Outlook there is a mess. What am I doing wrong?
