What to Do After Aflac?

I was with AFLAC for 2 years. Hard road as there are 600,000 agents nation wide and adding new agents every day. The hardest part is getting to the business owner. Selling the product is easy.

I still offer AFLAC and sell enough to stay active and keep what little renewals I have.

I have my own company and I specialize in Disability and my Partner is specializing in small group medical. But it is easier to talk to the business owner when your a small business owner just like him and not ANOTHER Aflac agent.

That is a number that was thrown out to me as agents it probably includes Brokers but there aren't a lot of brokers they are trying to get brokers now. They are recruiting every day. Anyone that has worked for Aflac will tell you when doing B2B that they are the 6th Aflac agent this week. It is hard to see the business owner when you are tripping over each other.

You're absolutely right. That's one of the reasons why I stopped working with Aflac. Business owners were constantly bugged by agents, and it was annoying trying to make myself look different than the other 10+ agents that had talked to them in the past year.

We actually spent an hour a day recruiting new agents for Aflac from resume sites (Careerbuilder, etc). Each agents "goal" was supposed to be 25 new recruits per week.

Can someone send me one of those ducks?? I want one too!

Mark I will send one to the office one day next week.

Macy's will have them again this year. It is a Christmas duck. All the money form the ducks goes to the Cancer Hospital in Columbus GA. That is all the ducks that the agents buy as well as the Christmas duck.

Hey! I totally understand how you feel, Sizemore! My Aflac Army recruiter sold me the same package--see the world. Unfortunately, it was from a engine room of a submarine!
