Where to Place?

Another agent quoted this guy $142ish with Americo. It looks like he would qualify for UP1 because his emphysema is not treated by any meds. Anybody have Americo and can confirm that he would qualify for UP1?

This is the confusing question for me in this situation:

7. In past 2 years has the proposed insured taken medication for diabetes in combo with TIAs, strokes, heart disease or disorders, kidney disease, eye problems or any circulatory disease (any disease that affects the heart and the blood vessels)?

Would the meds for high blood pressure or cholesterol apply to this question?

Never mind, the Rx guide says losartan in combo with diabetes treatment is UP3.

He cannot honestly answer no to Americo's question based on what you have posted here.

Ok I cold called a guy that said he had another agent that was trying to use the cv in his existing policy to purchase a paid up policy.

73M NT Heart stents 10yrs ago
73F NT CHF 1.5 yrs ago, Defibulator.

Both policies have $1000 in CV. The other agent said he could get a paid up $10K policy for each of them for the CV.

Is that possible?

Argh! I just got the Oxford app and looked at it. It asks if anyone's been denied coverage in last 2 years. This guy applied for globe or AARP or somebody liked that and got denied. The son didn't know why, I thought he might have been denied because he was too old for the policy (I'm talking about the guy that the thread was started about).

Are there any reasons why a denial would still be allowed with Oxford?

Oxford Immediate. No joke.

If he fails the POS, go with Monu.

Either way, Day 1 100% coverage.

I was just reading the Oxford app an it asks about emphysema. He doesn't take any meds and the way it asks is if in the last 24 months has he been diagnosed, treated or taken meds for emphysema.

So if he was diagnosed, lets say, 3 years ago and has not needed treatment or meds would that qualify him to answer no?

Sounds lik it would.
