Which Insurance Companies to Avoid

Great first post.

Not!

Try offering something constructive first. Just saying......

I am new to this forum, but I came on because of absolutely TERRIBLE business practice that one IMO has and that is Rosenthal Financial Services LLC, Mark Rosenthal. How ironic is it that he posted something on this forum. He maybe knowledgeable on insurance and companies, but if you are looking for an IMO, avoid him like the plague. I was with him along time ago and wrote a lot of business for him. I left and had a debit balance that is paying for itself in renewals and premiums. I started to get harrasing letters and cards from his company. On the OUTSIDE of the letter they would say things like "DO you really what to see what happens next" and talking about debit and reporting to the insurance commissioner, and then sending out postcards, instead of letters and on them saying" Have you responded to the Demand Letter from the Company Attorney about your unsecured debt"? They are saying "let me remind you that we will do everything we can to prevent you from staying licensed if you fail to respond" They are the most unprofessional "Thug" organization I have ever seen. Trying to embarrass a person by saying these things on the outside of envelopes an letters and on postcards so everyone can see. Just ask him about this extremely unprofessional manner. I don't even owe them. AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!!!!!

Insdude08,

Pay your bills and all is well.

Oh yeah and Farmers is a tough one to work with. They are good to the customers on claims but they are generally overpriced and from an agent's standpoint very difficult to succeed with.

You will have no sympathy from responsible agents on here. Daytona_Guy says it well! I would do exactly what Mark is doing!

Personally I get my mail from a locked mailbox so I don't know how many people see it. Not for nothing, but that's what it takes for them to get their money back. I also got those same letters/postcards but I really didn't owe them anything because I had already paid the balance. I called them up and had a good laugh about how agents don't like to pay their balance. I think he said they were sending 500!!!! of those out a week. If 500 people owed me money and had already ignored notices to repay the debt I would be doing something very similar.

It's probably also worth mentioning that the verbiage on the outside of the letter is more likely designed to get agents to open the letter as opposed to embarrassing them in front of the mailman who couldn't care less, just a thought.

If in the Mid west US, please avoid "American Family Insurance" at all costs...They are the most unethical and fraud company you can find.

Training from liberty mutual is hard to beat especially when you can leave them and go back and write business for them a year later or 10 times the commission on renewals.
