Which of these Companies Are Best?

I used to almost always use Foresters. I shifted to MAPD sales for a while over a year ago and now I am looking at trying to do some cross selling and I see that Foresters rates have gone way up. So are agents now using them less because of the rate increase?

In what way? .

Mostly because they have better rates than all of those companies. Probably should have Americo in there too.

That's pretty good numbers. Are you delivering them or having then mailed direct? I think its strange how they request return of the delivery receipt by mail, I guess they are getting most of those back.

It's my understanding that they won't send the policy to the agent for delivery. I had a hard time getting them to send one to me that they were having delivery problems with because she had an address and a PO Box and some mail went to her home and some to her PO Box. They said they would make an "exception" and send it to me.

Of course I get emails from them almost everyday about "policy coorespondence". I never know what that is about and some of them are are on policies issued 6 to 8 months ago. The emails are do not reply. There is no information to be gained at their website and if you call them they don't even know what you are calling about.

They are good to have but I couldn't imagine using them as a go to carrier. Plus the rates are pretty beatable for smokers. I'm going to write an RNA decline today with them. They are only $1 more per month than RNA for him. He asked about putting his wife there too so they would be with the same company. They are almost $10 more per month on the wife, {she is a smoker}.

Not many FE agents write any Foresters anymore. They basically pulled back from the FE market when they adjusted rates and underwriting.

If I had to carry one in my bag at all times for smokers, would you choose Americo or Assurity?

Assurity doesn't have the mindset of a true FE company. They don't stick to the app on the phone interview.

I could write FE all day with the following:

Monumental
5-Star
AmCon
Vantis/Kemper
Standard Life

Where does one get a 115% Standard Life contract up in here.I just ran a quote for 20K on a female 55 and Standard Life is lowest . I never even heard of them writing FE in in Florida before. Is this something new?
