who do you guys use for marketing organizations and why?

I know that Humana Marketpoint (the division of Humana that works the senior market) uses PPMG for most of their LTC, annuity and life. They have been great to work with.

I agree. Although I haven't worked much with them yet, they have been very helpful so far.

I am pretty sure they have a place in indianapolis. Maybe not but they were only gonna give me 15% for united world and i got 17% somewhere else. They insisted that i was FOS (full of ****) and that no one can offer that contract.... I got it.

It is for that very reason that I always call the company I want to license with first. If I can't go direct with the company I then ask what their best commission is and if they know who is offering that.

From your quote: "They insisted that i was FOS (full of ****) and that no one can offer that contract.... "

Know the answers before you contact a marketing organization. Chances are that if their lips are moving they are lying to you. :D

Your I.D says you are in Indiana. Senior Market Sales is in Omaha, Nebraska. I'm not the greatest in geography, but just how is that local?

Also, what is it about their contracts that stink to you? Just curious.

If it is the same Senior Marketing Sales that I know, their headquarters are in Columbia, MO About 20 miles West of me. They are one of the better ones I have come across.

Cenla,

Thanks for the link. That is totally a different organization.

I was mistaken, the SMS that I am familiar with is actually Senior Marketing Specialists, not Senior Marketing Sales. I'm glad you got that straight for me.

Their link is www.smsteam.com

That always happens when one "assumes" something. I hate it when that happens.

You need to check renewals as well. There is a place here in Georgia that will give you 20% first year on United World, but the renewals are crap (10% years 2-6 and then 5% years 7-10). Also, if you do enough Med Supp business with SMS, you can get a higher commission. I assure you, there isn't much spread for the FMO to give much more on the first year. I bet the FMO here in Georgia doesn't make much, if anything, the first year, but they get plenty on the renewals since they reduce the amount they pay to the agent.

Senior,

Duh. I knew that, there web address is sitting right in front of me.

I'm so use to typing .com that I didn't even notice it.

Thanks for getting me straight on that one also. It's a good thing you guys are looking after me. :D
