Who Has Experience with Flood Insurance

anyone here flood gurus?

do you write direct with fema / nfip

or thru private?

whats the difference? does fema give you commission or you can charge broker fee?

im assuming this is like state fund for worker comp, where state fund is no commission and private gives commission?

from Floodsmart.gov: The National Flood Insurance Program has an arrangement with private insurance companies to sell and service flood insurance policies. A list of private insurance companies that sell and service NFIP flood insurance policies is available to you.

These companies pays out commission; my Flood company pays (15%NB/14.5%RN and handles rollover of business 15.5% comm on rollover) for my downline agents.
