Why Agents Think They Are Superior ?

I personally snort three lines of coke before every meeting. I finds it gives me an edge and combined with the copious amount of ganja I smoke daily makes me both mellow and ambitious simultaneously.:D

Re: why agents think they are superior

Let me ask this- how many of the agents out there where a stiff business suit with a neck tie when you meet with a client. I have found that most agents that over dress to meet a customer in their home is because they want to let the client know how important they are . By doing this they are telling the client that they are in a class above them. Pulling up in fancy luxry car and add some a gold watch and that completes the costume.

I always try to keep it simple for my clients and make it where they can understand everything that I'm telling them. I don't think I'm better then any of them, but I hope that I know a lot more about Insurance and what I'm selling them, then they do.

I think my clients want to see a successful agent knocking on their door driving a nice car. I want them to know, that I'm good at helping people and I get paid well for it.

I not only sell life insurance, but more importantly I sell myself. They have to believe in me, in order to trust me, and believe in what I'm selling them. I want them to know that I do this full time and this is my day job.

Let me change you question. Do you think a client wants to see an agent, some up in a piece of crap of a car, without a suit on, and act like they are stupid?

You don't have to wear a suit to dress nice either.

I remember the days, when most agents carried an ink pen that cost over 50 bucks and was gold to impress the clients.

I want the person that is selling me anything to be smarter then I am, and to think he is successful in what he does.

What kind of insurance are you selling?

I think you have to dress in a professional manner. Now you do have to use common sense.
You also need know what you are selling so you can answer questions.

Maybe the person that started this thread is just frustrated because they are not selling. Looking at other agents and talking trash so they can justify why this career path is not working out.
