Why Agents Think They Are Superior ?

If all you want to do is hit your 20 posts so that you can PM, it is much easier to go to the Non-Insurance area and just post 20 jokes or whatever.

The way that you are going, you are really going to piss Al off when you take the title of Jackass away from him.

Here is a better question.

Why would anyone ask such a silly question and then reask it so quickly?

Maybe it was not very well thought out.

Your first sentence blames "most" agents... then your second sentence says "many I know".

That is quite a disparity in numbers. And quite a leap in judgement/stereotype.

"Most" agents, for example would be tens-of-thousands, most likely. "Many" you "know" , most likely is no more than a small fraction of the total universe of "most" agents you originally accuse of thinking they are superior.

If you are half way serious in your question or if you ask for someone else who is so shallow in thinking... maybe you or anyone like-minded should look at the company you keep.

If many agents that you know are like this, feeling superior to the clients, who are reason for their livelihood... or if your world-view of agents is that "most" of them feel superior to clients, then maybe you should surround yourself with more sensible human beings.

Maybe you should look for some who realize that success is defined by the individual who enjoys it. Look for someone who knows that nothing can be taken for granted because it usually has to be earned, then it has to be maintained and of course for one reason or the other it can be taken away sometimes in an instant for no apparent reason even for reasons that do not seem fair.

If you just want to know why some people act and think and feel like they have "the stuff" to flaunt in front of others just go back to your Psychology 101 text book and review the universal laws of man.

You will probably see a blurb in there somewhere that states
that every human being (especially men) have something called Pride and Ego. People buy based on those traits. They live in accordance with those traits. And they die with less of those personality traits because they know how futile they are in the end.

I feel superior due to the many years of proof I have recieved. It is also why I come onto anonymous boards, so I can spout off without people being able to call bull*#&$.

Short attention span; which in persons under 60 may indicate tendencies toward homosexuality (cause? or effect?). "Full blown" libs also tend to have short attention spans. This is not to say that all libs are gay. :twitchy:

I'm not sure about all that but you may have knowledge I am unaware of.

About libs I mean.

Most definitely, I've worked for a ton of 'em. No offense, just the way it is.

In my experience it has been the agent that isn't afraid of personal promotion that is able to write the most business, attitude of superiority or not. The ones that promote themselves differently than the rest obviously get noticed more, even if they do put off a 'superior aura'. The one that is a little more humble, is normally more likable.

This is what I've seen as an agent and a promoter, that being able to put myself out there and let people get to know me through my marketing is the best way to develop a relationship, so that when they do go to buy a policy, I'm the first person that comes to mind because of the way I have nurtured the relationship with my marketing.
