Work Labor Day?

Labor day is a day set aside to honor the working men and women of this country. It is not to be a day of work. It is to be a day of celebration and reflection.

It's a good day to set appointments. Lot's of folks won't answer the phone if they don't recognize the number calling, but on a "holiday" you'll catch some people off guard and they'll answer the phone. I've never had anyone mad about calling on labor day. I did have one guy get mad a few years ago when I called on super bowl Sunday! It's only labor day, not a sacred holiday. Sorry Comrades. All Y'all still have May Day.

back in 1991 I was in the car business working for Toyota. All of my friends who worked at other dealerships were always closed for the weekend after Thanksgiving. Toyota did a lot of research and decided it was a great time to be open and to advertise the hell out of their cars.

Today that weekend is the busiest selling weekend of the year. As a rule if you work on those days you will make lots of money. There is a dealership in Lansing that is open 365 days a year. They are always busy on Christmas.

So if you decide to work you will probably make good money. I won't be working because I don't normally work while I am drinking.

I agree we as workers we should have the freedom to choose not to work. Those that have not worked should work and we get their money for a change.

On veterans day all non veterans should work and that money goes to the veterans. Who would not vote for that? :nah:
