Working from Home

Working from home has never been easier! You mentioned that you are planning to leave a captive agency. Have you considered selling Health Insurance?
At AHCP, all of our independent agents work from home. They work to live, not the opposite. By partnering with AHCP and utilizing the tools we have put together for them, our agents typically earn about $100k/year or more. If you're interested, let's talk.

Damn, where do I sign up? What does it cost to get started with you? How much money should I make in my 1st month working with/for you? Do you have any agents that I call talk to that is already doing your program?

"...agents typically earn $100,000" is one of the most misleading statements agencies make.

Yes, if you eliminate all the agents who don't make $100,000 (they don't count) then yes, they average $100,000.

To get a TRUE average of what an agent makes with any agency you need to take all agents appointed and divide by all commissions earned.

If you do this you'll find the AVERAGE agent (based on the number of agents who are appointed to sell under any particular agency) earns around $5,000 or so a year.

what specific agency "MGA" did you get these figures from or from what academic source. I would like to see this myself. moonlight asked for some proof from amanda and i would kindly ask the same please

You run an agency, right? Easy. Take every agent appointed under you, take commissions earned last week (not deals submitted but deals approved) and divide. You tell me. And I get my stats from association members.

I would say that in any agency in the country only the top 10% earn six figures. In order for "the average agent" to earn six figures that would mean half of all agents in that agency earn six figures.

So I'll put the question back on you, can you show me a SINGLE agency where half of all appointed agents are earning six figures?

Thanks...but first things first, i will gladly pay the postage if you will send these stats from the association members...these are great stats but i would like to see the stats used averaging averages leads to slanted stats

thanks

I think you have this backwards. It's been stated that the "average agent" earns $100,000. That statement needs to be backed up, not mine. We need some sort of proof that the "average agent" earns that much.

So you see, I really don't need to prove that the average agent doesn't earn close to $100,000, you need to prove agents in your agency do.

I mean, it's pretty simple. If you contracted 10 agents that means 5 of them are earning six figures. Really?

That's what most agencies do. They parade the 2% of their team who are making six figures and say "look at them!"

Fine, you can make six figs - I did. Is it the AVERAGE? Not even close. Of course, no agency wants to count the agents they contract who don't submit any business. LOL!
