Working TM Leads Day 2

All uplines are not created equal. I agree that he should not get an upline that charges for the teaching. But an upline where one gets street and also trains is very valuable.

This poster needs an upline that knows how to sell FE. He needs to learn from that upline.

I was prety successful in the life insurance business. But my business took off once I got with Travis Tubbs, Tim Winders and Dan Runge and learned from them.

What about Ben ?

If some of these over the phone said they're not interested would you go knock their door after a few days and try that way? I ask because I know some guys do that with direct mailers.

"Not interested" is a knee jerk reaction designed to get rid of you. A polite no. Don't give up! You need to know more...

Suspect: "I'm not interested."
Weak agent: "Oh, OK, bye."
Strong agent: "I'm a little surprised to hear that. May I ask why?"

Absolutely. They never put two and two together. Well, sometimes on the "delivery notice" technique they do, if you use them door knocking. You paid a lot for that lead. Work it!

As a general rule of thumb I've always been told to keep working the lead til you get a NO! or the door slammed in your face. What state are you in?

Im not ashamed to admit I have that problem sometimes. I still set appointments, but Im working on improving my response to different objections. I usually choke and say okay thanks bye:mad: But thats just a personal issue Im working on.

Yes!!! I do the same thing. I'm in NJ. I also need to stop that. Like my tag name though "rookie"

It can be really interesting when you get them talking. I had a case recently where the lady told me she couldn't get anything. I asked her why and she told me that she had talked to another agent and he told her that she could get a GI policy but the price was too high.

I asked her what she told him and she said she was on "chemo", it sounded like that anyway. I said what are your Rx and she gave me a cholesterol and hbp meds. I said what about the cancer meds, she said she didn't have cancer. As it turns out, she was pronouncing the name of her cholesterol med in a way that sounded like "chemo".

Had one like that a few years ago. I asked if she had an HMO. She said she had, but dropped it. Said they ran the same movies all the time.:D
