Ok so ummmm, Ive heard of A LOT of strange, weird, offensive, funny & heartbreaking stories here over the last 6mos or so. But after today, I dont know what else to say about our demographic we deal with.
It's been a slow 2nd month for me....seems most of my leads dont answer the phone/door, never there, are busy, or I cant help them. Needless to say, Ive been doing a lot of drive bys with very few appts. But today was my "lucky" day, I got a man at 130 whom Ive met before finally ready to go (and another tonite at 630 for hopefully hubby & wife).
So as I get to this mans house (hes always in a rush), hes outside already & approaches me with a folder in his hand as I start to walk towards him. He informs me he forgot to tell me the last time we met that he had a colonoscopy <sp> done & he has to wait additional time cause they found something they need to do further testing on (could be cancer). He apologizes several times & tells me he needs to wait to do anything with insurance til this is done. I offer my condolences and sympathy & I tell him I understood....thats when he goes to the folder, opens it, pulls out a picture of his A$$ and says "See there, they said that could be cancer...and i gotta hold off on insurance til I know (he has term now thru AARP)."
Im totally taken aback and dumbfounded....I never thought Id ever see an A-hole before, let alone someone else's. WOW....gotta love this FE biz, u guys didnt warn me of ANYTHING like this!!
