WoW...After Only 2mos in This Biz, Ive Seen It All Now!!

Just doorknocked a lead today, a frantic young gentleman on the phone answered, he tried to cut me off and I just shoved the mailer in his face, then he said I would have to come back some other time cause his uncle who had filled out the card could have gone missing and might be dead. Wow, I told him I will stop by another day...

I used to work as a debit agent and thought I'd seen some strange things, but never an A$$ ! LOL
I did have a customer pull down her blouse to show me a spot on her "Booby" once. I quickly took about 5 steps back and said I'll wait outside. People can be funny (strange). :D

My apologies. No offense meant to any Asian folks in this politically correct world in which we live.

No problem...I don't know if your use of the term 'politically correct' was meant to be in an pejorative fashion or not but.....
I feel, if we can educate ourselves to have proper etiquette when addressing someone else...why not?

If an "indian" prefers Native American, why not respect the request.

I mean just because Columbus didn't know where the f*ck he was and 'they' didn't have enough 'political juice' to say...
'hey, guys we're really NOT from India' until this era of 'politically correctness'...... doesn't mean we should be upset or ignore the word CORRECT in the term politically correct.

If a 'fat beetch" wants to be called a 'BBW' or 'plus size' or 'full figured' instead...........
it's probably "PC"
but it's also proper etiquette and good manners.

I think in our distaste for 'overreaching' rules we've forgotten that some aspects of being "PC" should not only be welcomed but were always part of the 'home training' that MOST of our mothers taught us.

We, Americans have this elitist attitude that we can't be corrected 'because we've ALWAYS done "it" this way'....well folks things CHANGE. Why we fight, so hard for some changes and easily accept others is amazing to me....when in all essence the truth is, the sun is going to rise whether I say 'midget' or 'little person' but if guy request to be called a 'little person' vs what I grew up saying what's the f*cking harm? Ok , you're a 'little person' no biggie.

The Washington Bullets want to be called the Wizards, what i'm going to fight 'em it?

C'mon ppl

Prudes STOP reading: You've been warned...

Flight attendant isn't PC, it might just be a overdo correction......

Who knows, is it that big a deal...as long as I get my drink...

If a chick wants to be called a lady, instead of a c*cksmoker,
so be it as long as she gets the job done correctly...I'll be PC all day ;)

Indian vs Native American depends on where in the US one lives. East coast tribes prefer native american and west coast tribes prefer term indian (in general).

That's the point, if there is a known preference just follow it.
Why make waves?

When, I grew up in Chicago....
We drank Pop and drove on the Expressway

In college in the DC metro
We drank Soda and drove on the Parkway

When visiting family in the south..
We drank 'cold dranks' and drove the Interstate

Settled in California
Back to 'soda' and everybody says we're driving on a 'freeway'

Either way it's still Dr.Pepper and a paved highway, no matter what

Point is.... learn whatever term the 'Romans' are using and follow suit without crying about it.

We get to uptight about 'change' and "tradition"... life and language evolve....we HAVE permission.

We've added:
windshield wipers
seat belts
Stop lights
drinking ages
medicine
Vegas
condoms
and lots of other cool stuff as time has gone on.

We don't HAVE TO call it alpha-numeric paging today they use the PC term...text messaging:err:

I have got to switch to a lighter coffee, you are starting to make sense to me.:err:

Some of the problem with being PC is that we are lazy and change takes effort. It is just easier to be PC incorrect. Also, sometimes, old habits die hard.
