2010 Mapd & Pdp

CIGNA is looking like it is going to be pretty hot in for 2010. We are already seeing a significant number of apps. (especially in CA) mainly from those losing coverage who have a SEP but also some turning 65.

Thanks for the CMS link thats a great resource.

I took a look at CIGNA here in CA and can't figure out why I would use them instead of the PPO from Anthem. What am I missing?

I noticed that not all companies and their plans and counties are listed there. Still not a perfect list.

Not sure in CA, but in GA CIGNA is a PFFS plan.
We have 3 major hospitals that won't take PPO MA plans in Atlanta. So CIGNA would obviously be a choice for someone wishing to use one of those hospitals or someone living next door to one.

It does depend on where in CA you are talking about, CIGNA is a PFFS plan which they are networking for 2011 but the Anthem PPO is very competitive as well. CIGNA throws in a routine dental benefit that I dont think Anthem has. OOPM for CIGNA can belower depending on which plan you choose ($2,000, $2,500, $3,000 or $3500) Anthem has $3,400 or $5,000 with a $600 deductible.
