60,000 Annual Premium in one month

Jose can work either spanish or english leads and he is an area that produces both. His area helps him with a unique advantage. Not that he isn't good. Whether he writes all this on 20 leads or not, to me he can't necessarily do the same as easily in another area. Simply my opinion.

I would wager he is not the only spanish speaking agent in AZ, NM, TX or CA. If Newby vouches that he writes $300,000 a year I believe him. Can he train? = Who knows.

I know but it knocks out some of the competition. I think it could mean competing against less agents and therefore an advantage. I could be wrong.

I understand and agree that it is an advantage. Same as being an FE only agent is an advantage when prospecting FE or being a White Male in some areas is a lot better than being a Black or Brown Male. Or living in an area with higher base income FE prospects (higher AP). Sounds like he just has the 'gift". Now can he teach it, can he sustain it, is there something else not be disclosed?

Seems like a nice guy. That 'nice guy' thing may be his 'secret sauce'. I started in Pleasanton, CA. Wrote business from Danville to Oakland Being a dark Mexican driving a Pick Up truck was not a door opener. The pink, recent college grads had a much easier time getting into the Danville, Pleasanton, Diablo and Blackhawk (Met John Madden at his next door neighbor's there) homes than I did. But I made Convention my first year, they did not. An advantage in one area could just as easily be a disadvantage. Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.

Again - I am a Life Insurance agent Not an FE agent so this is all just my uneducated opinion.

Todd, first of all good morning. Just want to clear the air.
I do think writing 300,000 on 20 leads a week is easy. but this is my opinion I say that because it's easy for me. what it takes to do that, I do not consider hard work.
That said. you agree that I know exactly what it takes to do it.

So by my measurement I believe it is easy for someone to learn how to do it or come close. What is much harder for most is the dedication it takes. Most agents have a good week or two and then they let off the pedal the next week or they take an extra day off. That doesn't work.

But when the agent is in the zone he has a great week no reason why he can't repeat it. that means he could sell, he just lacks the dedication and what it really takes to keep the foot on the pedal.

I'm not doing anything special that a lot of Agents can't already do what is special is my dedication to get it done

To sit there for 2 hours setting appointments during the week to make the days when you're in the field count and be out there from 9 to 9 sometimes.

but even with all that being able to work only 3 days a week most of the time and have the weekends off I don't consider that hard work I guess my bar is very high for what I consider to be hard work.

Roofing in Arizona in the summer that's hard work laying bricks and digging ditches that's hard work. what do we do?drive around all day and meet with people the hardest part of this job or that takes a little time that may be unpleasant is setting the appointments during the week... that and finding a place to pee lol

Anyhow if someone's going to learn someone Style and the dedication and what it really takes don't you think their best chance of learning it is from someone that's doing it and walks the walk with them?

Todd we have not had our agency for a year yet so we can't say how many producers are putting up those numbers we've just formed in the last 6 months.

But our guys are hitting 4000 in a week consistently brand-spanking-new after a couple ride-alongs with me Agent went out on his own and wrote over 4,000 his very first week

And experienced agents say that they've made more premium since joining our group then they have on their own for years that's gotta count for something

Anyway I got to get going I've got a day full of appointments have a good day

Great rebuttal!! I am now understanding a bit more of where you are coming from. There are anomalies in this business and you just may be one of them. When you compare how easy this is to things like roofing and digging ditches, I absolutely agree. However, we can't really compare it to that (unless you are trying to recruit a ditch digger).

All I'm really trying to say is to be careful about saying how easy this is. I will make a guess and say that since about 90% of the agents fail at this business, half of those probably thought it was easy and failed simply because they were wrong in their assessment and were never planning on actually putting in the work that it takes.

Another way to view this....You'll usually hear how easy this business is from your Lincoln Heritage or MLM groups. That's why we want you to be careful on how you present it to someone.

OK thanks. I think you guys are taking things too literal for an Internet forum.

If Mark Spitz said swimming fast is easy. I can teach anybody how to do it. It would be the same thing.

Mark Spitz knows how to swim fast and he can teach anybody what he does that makes it easy for him. That doesn't mean most people are going to do what it takes and put in all the work to really learn how to swim fast. But it wouldn't be because Mark Spitz everything he knows.

I can see where Jose's comment sounds flippant. And he is an evil "marketer" so Every word out of his mouth has to be trying to trap naïve Agents into his web.

Jose's real crime is that he's really just a happy go lucky guy and is not jaded and tainted like most of us that have spent too much time on forums. He's not thinking of his self is overpromising. He's just throwing out there that he is happy to show others how he does it and he finds it easy.

Give him a couple years of arguing with anonymous trolls and Agents rolling debt up to him And he'll be just as battle scarred and jaded as the rest of us.

No, I understand.. I was just pointed out the posts you must not have seen. In general I kinda like his angle on this. The popular thing among the smaller shops is to constantly push the "92%" failure rate to increase the perceived value their training. Although jd would be all over him if he still posted and they both didn't wear fex socks.
