AARP/UHC Med Supp/MA FMO?

I thought UHC still had the 8 or so "Platinum" FMOs. I'm sure there are many here who would be very interested in that information. From what source did you hear that?

Thanks!

We were an FMO for UHC, came in 43rd place last year so we lost the contract we got the news from our UHC sales Manager. I am still waiting for him to get me the list of the top 25 who will be keeping the FMO Contracts, waiting for a response from UHC can take weeks but once I get it I will post the 25 on this posting.

Just received this from AARP

Production Minimums Are Required for AARP® Medicare Supplement Plans
In our ongoing efforts to ensure that time and resources are focused on agents who continue to drive business and hold
the highest standards of service to our consumers and to UnitedHealthcare, we are implementing production minimums
for AARP Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans, insured by UnitedHealthcare Insurance Company.
For calendar year 2009, agents must submit at least five AARP Medicare Supplement applications. Agents who fail to
attain the production minimum in 2009 will be suspended from offering AARP Medicare Supplement plans in 2010.
We want to assist you in your work. Therefore, agents who submit at least 20 AARP Medicare Supplement applications
may be rewarded with access to special AARP branded materials, including business cards, letterhead and signage.
These materials are forthcoming later this year. In addition, upline agents will be credited with their downline's production
Thank you for your hard work, dedication and your recognition of the unique value the AARP Medicare Supplement plans
bring to the Medicare market!

Hmmm...I didn't get that email. I'm approaching 20 for 2009. Wrote 2 more yesterday. I guess they won't suspend me.

ICA for UHC here in Panhandle of Florida. ALL of my leads from UHC were free and if I was fast enough, I was the exclusive agent. Every now and then, they would sweep a few if we didn't work them. The bean counters at UHC always whined that we weren't fast enough working them >>> DUH cause we were running the leads all across God's Green Acres called the Florida panhandle. (See previous note on Tampa).
My contract is 400 per new MAPD, 200 per renewals. A friend was offered 300 per new by an FMO out of Georgia, nothing about renewals in the contract!
So NOT EVERYONE GETS PAID THE SAME on these goofy MAPD sales!!!!
And YES, the FREE LEADS worked out great, no reduction in commissions.

P.S.
PARKER AND ASSES still are dirtbags. :D
May Ken Parker use all the escrow money he stole to pay for treatment of his non-specific Uretheritis dribbles.

Don't worry. I'm in the panhandle of Florida too. More agents to work the territory.

.......................................................................................

Who knows where the "reform" crap will end up...BUT...I do not know why anyone would work for UHC through an FMO.

The ICA contract is the way to go. Full commissions and free leads...FMO's have been the biggest problem with MA's getting a bad rap....

:nah:The ICA route will insure proper training and access to the company directly...If you are in an FMO, I would enquire about obtaining a release and contract directly.

I sincerely don't understand why anyone will want to sell the AARP med supp, not unless you plan on selling 5-10 a day. Why ? Because they pay you $127.53 per approved app, regardless of the premium, and that is ICA.

Because except for ESR, there are no medical questions. I'd be happy to make over $250 if there are no other alternatives.
