Yep, yagent and KGB is correct... its the stupid IT people at the carriers. I play golf with one of the head guys at the HCSC(bcbs)... he got so frustrated he quit and went back into the navy with a star on his shoulder... not a bad trade up... he said the IT dept was 10 years behind normal IT...

In the kinda words of Bill Clinton: It the IT Dept, Stupid

What about the Web Brokers? Same story, it's the carrier IT people at fault for not allowing WBE's to accept payment?

OK..so assuming the people who run carrier IT departments are stupid. Why are they allowed to continue their employment when they're costing the company money? The CEO, the key Stockholders, the Board of Directors wouldn't allow this at any other corporation. Money would be spent to find good talent to prevent bleeding money long-term. They're giving Insurers a pass?

As others have pointed out many (if not most) that while the carriers have extensive IT departments many of their systems are inward facing AND they have to deal with a TON of "legacy" systems. Ask any WBE and you will find that getting through to the correct person is the first hurdle, getting past how they integrate into legacy systems and code is a whole other animal. Just look at how many carriers commission reports are not available in any format other than PDF when Excel or similar would be MUCH better way to go.

This is the same platform that AHCP is using correct? They just started promoting. I didn't know they had a platform. I asked Shari for clarification, but never received a response. I just wanted to ensure that going with AHCP will get me the ACAExpress platform.

I have a question for Kenny. I am planning on emailing my ACAExpress link out to all my clients on 11/15 asking them to start the process of enrolling and if they see a plan they like, to submit their application.

My question is…what happens to my customer who starts filling out their info on my ACAExpress site, ends up not qualifying for a subsidy. Can they still move forward on the application and enroll in a plan using the ACAExpress site? If you can... how does ACAExpress link the app to me for compensation?

Thank you in advance

First, yes you can email them. With the CFS link you can insert in your emails. The important part is goign to be the "calls to action" within them. I suggest somethign along the lines of:

"We have tried a few times to reach you regarding your health insurance quote request though have been unsuccessful. You might be like a lot of people today in that you simply have a hard time making time to visit or are the type who simply wants to do it on your own. The great news is we have a streamlined health insurance enrollment site which is dramatically easier than the government one and is fully ACA certified. If this is you jump on over to <INSERT AGENTS WEBSITE LINK> and if you have any questions give me a ring, I would appreciate the opportunity to earn your business and make sure you get the maximum subsidy to lower your premiums allowed by law!"

Of course you can modify the above depending on who you are sending it to; i.e. past customer or new prospect, etc. Shorter is better when comes to emails and rule of thumb is stay away from using too many exclamation points, all capital letter words and buzz words such as FREE, etc.

To the other portion, any prospect who starts the process at an agent's CFS site is tracked along the way so you know exactly what step they are on and can reach out to them if they stop on step two for example. On top of this the system automatically sends out drip emails based on what step a prospect might be at and how long they have been there.

I am new to this forum as of last year and I read more than I post. Just wondering why it is so hard to talk with someone in this business. Acaexpress.com and health sherpa will not return my calls or emails. I am ready to sell and need input on who to choose. Anyone know what is the best choice? It is a busy time I get it? But hire people answer phone calls. Does anyone have a direct reason why I should go with one or the other? I don't care about money as much as I care about being stuck with low efficiency and follow up because of hc.gov. So money aside who should I choose?
