AEP Commissions

Just a heads up on Coventry issues. I have found out that several of my agents(after 10-15 phone calls) did not have the training modules properly applied to their transcript. Even though they received the "Ready to sell" status, internally Coventry didn't have them certified. This has held up their commissions. And the broker services rep and even the regional rep has said there is no way to back date this. Great huh?

Yeah, had a big falling out back in early October with my FMO over the MAPD appointment and certification with Aetna/Coventry. Everybody was having issues with their requirement to complete new appointment paperwork. I shared on the forum what my Coventry rep told me regarding my FMO needing to be certified. I stated the FMO's name and said I doubted very seriously they weren't certified. Next thing I know I'm getting the following in an email from my guy at the FMO:

"management found you posted something on a blog or domain that was negative toward (FMO name)…I was not able to view it, but was informed not good

Please get it off the web due to it not being true & it could go along way in smoothing over"

As if to say, we aren't going to help you get your contracting issue with Aetna/Coventry resolved because of what you posted. Here is the exact thing I posted on the forum (minus the FMO's name):

"My area rep finally responded to an email and said my upline (FMO's name) needed to get contracted and certified. I find it hard to believe (FMO's initials) hasn't contracted or certified. Guess I'll find out in the morning.

I simply repeated what I was told and said I found it hard to believe.

Man I was pissed. Told them I didn't work for them and don't take lightly being threatened. I couldn't get anyone other than my rep to talk with me about it. I'm riding out my 6 months and pulling all of my contracts from them. My internal rep told me I was his number 2 or 3 rep in the state of Georgia. And this is a very LARGE FMO. I have sent them A LOT of business over the years. Annuities, Med Supp, MAPD, PDP, Life and LTC. No more though.

Awesome.

The free market has spoken, and your old FMO is found guilty of stupidity.

I know you've all been sitting on pins and needles waiting to find out when I would get paid my AEP commission from Aetna. You can all relax now, the commission finally arrived yesterday. It's fun doing work in mid to late October and not getting paid until late February. Thank goodness I wasn't in need of the money to pay bills.

As ridiculous as it is for that to happen, at least it weeds out those newbies that didn't prepare properly.

It is possible. After 25 years of selling med supps, my renewals are ginormous.

That's not all that must be ginormous if you've convinced potentially 7 women to be your wife.
