Age & Income For DM and TM Leads

I would like to have average age and income ranges for FE mailings and telemarketing leads for my marketing efforts. I am new to FE but not the Senior Market business.

Just some food for thought. When talking about cold calling or telemarketing leads. The people they are calling, or those that still have a home phone and are not on the dnc list. That list keeps getting smaller and smaller. You end up with a lot of older people. The F.E. market is what you end up offering them.

I was looking for advice on what a good age group is to mail, like 60-80, 55-75, etc.
and income specifics like over or under 25K.
I have read here where there are some agents that are very successful mailing to low income people under 15K.

I target 55-75 years old with 15 to 15k household income...

I mail $15 to 50k ages 55-77. I don't like them too young or old, but that is based on my experience with them I am sure it varies from area to area.

I find I do the most business on the leads that had no income filter for the bottom. My best clients are the -$1000/mo income.

So, $0-$50,000 and ages 50-85.

That's what I would do if I were to mail my own. And about as generic as possible.

I would be after higher returns. I've never found a decent telemarketed lead for FE. And I've used them from several sources.

It's far better for me to set my own appointments and make the first contact with prospects than to have someone do it that has no skin in the game as to whether I sell that person or not.

I have a hard time getting a hold of the younger end of the spectrum, especially the 55 and under crowd. Because they are still working I assume. And there only so many evening hours a week that you can work.

I also have trouble with the older crowd. No money and the ins is expensive.

Yep, single males & ppl under 60 are a PIA....I prefer 60-80 with a female in the household. If thats not enough data, start at 55 or go to 85.
