Agent Compensation To Change

I get paid % commission on my small group in NJ. I don't know how individual works there - does anyone else?

Re: Agent Comp To Change.......

It actually hasn't played out well for the MGAs. They mainly end up with broke "direction-less" agents with little to no real internal drive wasting their time.

Then they get to play with the "used car salesmen" agents who write a bunch of junk and leave town when the chargebacks start coming.

The more stable MGAs will welcome a change where they don't have to deal with agents who need to make "$1,600" next week yet have $128.35 left on their Visa.

I agree......an advanced commission is like crack.....

I guess this is the end of IHIAA.

Actually, John should raise membership dues to $40/50 month per person, put banner ads on the site from vendors, and offer weekly counseling sessions to all the agents who are on here freaking out instead of writing as much business as they can NOW @ 20% plus commission.....

Health insurance agents will not be out of business. The agents who need to get an advanced 20% comp check next week so they can get more minutes on their cell will be out of business. IHIAA will be open so long as health insurance agents can write business.

Joe has a crystal ball...
It's ball(s).

And you really think that they would tell you if they were...
Depends who I talk too...

Again keep in mind carriers still have to conduct business pre 2014 and no one is setup for immediate direct sales channels (very expensive and the MLR makes it better to pay agents a small % then direct marketing as well).\

Again wait two months and see what happens.

Getting rid of those agents will make life much easier.
