Agent Release

IMO's and agencies not willing to sign a release is unbelievable to me. I get it if they have invested a lot of money in leads for the agent and need to get reimbursed but in general the ones that won't sign are just plain ruthless and unethical. We had a guy want to sign up with us but couldn't because the other agency wouldn't sign a release even though the agent had been with them for only five days.

Sounds like AGA. That a-hole never releases.

Lol yes we release.
So, who was this ruthless and unethical.IMO/agency?

Do you give releases? ;)

Yes we release freely, seems just wrong to hold an agent's contracts. NAA was the culprit. We really should start a list of them on the forum so new agents know ahead of time. When I was first starting out I wouldn't have even known to ask such a question. Not trying to self promote here but new agents should read this page of questions to ask that I wish I would have known to ask when starting out.

I have been going through a similar situation with one of the providers I was contracted with to write MAPDs at my previous employer. It's only one of the many companies that I now have contracts with so, I will survive. It just pisses me off because it's just their way of being vindictive.

THIS is the problem!

This forum should start a thread 'what I wish I would've known to ask' for us newbies out there stumbling around in the dark.
I did start that thread years ago. I pointed out that Applied General Agencies and RBI Insurance were two FMOs to avoid like the plague.

AGA had their attorney contact the forum owner who then took down my posts (despite only discussing my experience) and I was threatened with a lawsuit by RBI (of course I told them where to go and haven't heard back).

Many of us have recommended honest marketers like Todd King.

I have also posted my feeling about a variety of issues. I even went so far as to post that a former member was offering illegally obtained leads. He's gone but even though I was proven correct his buddy Monkey Boy attacked me for that and continues to troll me.

The bottom line is there is no upside for an agent to help others. As my late friend Frank Stastny used to say, "No good deed goes unpunished."

Hahaha, at the time you said those leads were illegal...they were still legal.

As far as me "Trolling" you, I only "Troll" you when you're trying to bully people...especially LD and myinsurebiz. You seem to have a "fondness" for both of them. If they bother you so much, why don't you put them open ignore?

Who's Monkey Boy?
