I agree ss billing is huge . But I disagree as I love direct express when it's truly drafted correctly. When you take the money before they even see it it works great . As long as they don't lose the card

Why are there not more carriers that do true SS billing ?

How difficult is it for a company to have it ?

Seems like if they want to be in the game they would understand it's a necessity ?

Are they that clueless ?

I'm afraid that it makes for a poor business model. In order for it to make sense, your front end must be fully maned. I think for smaller companies with few employees, the extra work and poor risk clients provide unappealing business change. And old "set in their ways" companies just don't see it as a business plan they want to invest in.

But you are right... if you want to be a real player in FE, SS billing is something you need to take seriously.

It's mostly having the right kind of billing software most companies are running off a really arcane billing systems. Many of the companies that sell a final expense product have no working understanding of the market and SS billing.

Sorry... I shoot at anything that moves when I'm in front of them.

You and me both, brother. Knock on wood my Direct Express business is just as good as my draft business over the last 2

Price doesn't matter.

Agents who are full time in the business know this.

Close to half my business is replacement. I would say price might not matter as much as some would think, but price:benefit ratio matters a whole lot to these folks. If you can get their daughter $2000 more for the same or even just a little bit more - that matters to these folks a whole lot.

Our product is geared for social security/ssi recipients.

Players that are serious in the market know that.

How many times have you been in a house, qualifying the PI and saying to yourself "the only way I'm writing this policy is with a company that has social security billing ?"
