I guess the Incentives where that you would be paid $400 a renewal amount up front of $200 and the Remaining $200 paid later....So the Incentive was commission they never really intended to pay. Do you MA agents feel like you where incentivized to enroll people in the best MA plan for them or do you feel CMS put up as many road blocks as possible and now is coniving the the carriers to screw you some more?
If this MIPPA debacle was really meant to discourage bad behavior from agents they would have flattened the commission difference between MA and PDP instead of widening it . How does it help Medicare beneficiaries when the dirty little secret is an insurance agent won't go to the trouble to come to your house and explain and PDP because it's just not worth the trouble. This reminds me of small group insurance in Florida (Less than 3 I think ) Sure it's GI but good luck finding an agent willing to do it for 1 %. More of these prospects will end up on MAPD just like the carriers planned.
