have any of you faced an injury or sickness that prevented you from being able to go to appointments?

I broke my foot jumping off of a diving board and cannot drive to any appointments. I've thought about ubering from appt to appt or paying a driver, but my cast is so big and my crutches are in the way Idk if going to someone's house like this will be well received.

In the meantime I've tried selling over the phone, but It's a little tougher than I thought. I don't want to join a telesales organization since I have full intentions of going back face to face. Besides Illegally being on welfare and being on the forum all day, does anyone have any suggestions on what they would do in this situation?

File a claim on the disability income and accident policies you wrote yourself a few years ago? You did get around to selling yourself.. didn't you? :)

This may not be an answer for you. Really depends on how long you have been in business.

Call your warm market. Your clients. If it has been a few years since you have spoken with them there may be opportunity there. Many people here say they prefer to work with people that already own insurance. Beats the hell out of watching Judge Judy reruns.
You already have all of their information.
Make your customers into clients.

As far as process, the easiest thing I have seen to sell over the phone is the Manhattan Cancer Plan, Dental/Vison/hearing, etc using the online personalized links they set up for you. I haven't used them, however except to write additional plans in households where I already had business and a relationship with the people.

These make perfect sense. I've picked up a few telesales carriers just for referral reasons, and yeah supplementing other products via telesales is a good idea. I'm going to give that a try. Any recommendations on someone to contact for those contracts?

This is great advice. If you plan on returning to face to face sales, mining your current clients for additional sales is a perfect idea.
