This gimmick is garbage. The only winner financially is the company.
1. Many claims within 2 years are contested so they get out of these that way. (Nothing to do with this specific policy)
2. The smoker rate is not normally double the premium, but they reduce the death benefit by 50%.
3. Many good policies that are over 2 years old are going to be replaced using this product and then when the insured continues to smoke, their families will get 50% of the original policy that was replaced.
4. Many E&O are going to result from this.
