Annual Background Checks

I saw this on the Ohio National Email today.

Ohio National will begin to conduct annual background checks on active agents beginning in October 2017.

Let see if other companies also follow through. One of the unseen side effects of DOL.

Well, the answer to that question is a big YES. I've received emails from multiple other carriers similar to the one ON sent out.

Some imply increased background checks. Others just remind the agent that legal infractions must be reported.

Maybe DOL, maybe other forces, maybe a bit of everything. Either way its definitely not an isolated incident.
