Another "Rip Off" lead company

So I think First Quote is a scam company.

They called me last week, after having promised to deliver my leads many weeks ago, and said "there has been a problem with charging your Credit card."

I had been trying to get a hold of them for weeks since I hadn't received my leads. Then they wanted me to verify my CC info? HAHAHAHAHAHA

First Quote's terrible. F%**K em'.

It is easy to find good Health Insurance leads :-)

Affiliate leads are the problem - if a lead company will not show you (and verify) where their leads come from, obviously be careful.

I'm intrigued. Explain, please. Seriously. You set up a good point.

Leads come from one of two sources:

1. Generated - Search, Natural, Paid - USER INITIATED

2. Affiliate - A lead company buys and resells leads (virtually all lead companies do this despite what they advertise)

You need to know where your goods are coming from - it's that simple. When you call a lead and tell them "somewhere on the Internet I found your information" - good luck.

A little credibility goes a long way. Any company that does shoot straight with me - we are done. That is just my personality if someone wants to feed me a line they won't get my hard earned dollar, real simple.

Our call center has been generating 6-9 appointments a day from a single seat in the call center at $500 per week. Thats a minimum of 30 leads for $500 which is $16 per lead.

What type of payment structure is set up for affliate leads?

Regards,

I've tried lead sources as well. "Cherry-pick" leads were horrible. LeadsClearence were horrible and QuotesAuction ALL were GARBAGE!

Forgot to add that I used LeadCo as well. They seem to be the best of the ones I mentioned BUT they are more expensive of course:mad:

Pebble...LeadsClearance and QuoteAuction might be run by the same company. My experience with them has been the same as yours.

Leadco isn't bad. Their $7.98 price is competitive and they are generous with the credits.

The toughest sale is a lead from a single male with no dependents who is currently uninsured. The lead company I use screens out these or I would be out of business.
