Any Experience with Health Choice USA?

Street is 20% - some odd carriers such as Avalon pay 30% but that's a promotion due to end.

Avalon might not last until the end of the promotion.

The commission could be 100% - of they don't pay you, it's worthless! Avalon has paid it's comp consistently late for the last six months or so. Worse yet, they lie about it.

In essence, they are financing their business with YOUR money. They won't last much longer - Florida agents and brokers - stay away from Avalon!

I was surprised to see that Health Choice One now offers them. Bad news.

In your opinion which of those carriers are competitive here in FL?

In no particular order: Humana, UnitedHealthOne (GR), and Assurant are all you really need out of that list.

Aetna's problems have been documented on this board. Too early to tell for Cigna.

All the rest is second (and third and fourth) tier stuff.

do the big carriers offer higher commissions after years in the business?

Only if your production warrants.

I have more time in the industry than most on this forum, but I get paid according to production, not age or beauty.

Madison National(who are these guys?)

They write dental and (I think) some medical products through IAC.

So Avalon in Florida is not good? I'm a newbie and was thinking about signing up with them. It's a captive position, but they said they will allow me to write other carriers?

I don't think I know enough to know the difference of being captive or non-captive. They provide free leads.
