Any Experience with Health Choice USA?

...because the first rule of lying is being able to keep track of it

Can I just take a plea bargain????

Again, incredible the content of this thread.

Are we not all adults on this?

These are some fairly big accusations, all I am going to say is that I get a 9 month advance and paid at 28%

Works for me, don't know what the big deal is with you.
Why does what I get or who I write affect you or anyone else for that matter?

It goes to ethics. You're here defending the agency as a solid agency that's a good place for agents.

However, if this agency is kicking out that kind of comp and encouraging its agents to sell second tier carriers they would be an agency to avoid.

That's why is matters.

Its a matter of principle.

Originally I merely posted to help answer some questions about the agency that I work with. Now all of a sudden I am on trial, being called a liar, told that I represent 2nd rate carriers etc.

You (and your cronies) have obvioulsy formed an opinion on what I do, now I have to explain all to justify my position.

Well I am sorry, but I don't do bullies.

kicking out that kind of comp and encouraging its agents to sell second tier carriers they would be an agency to avoid.

Again, I merely indicated what my commission level was, not what everyone else has.

I did not start on this level, it took me a few months to get there and a fair amount of premium.

They represent all the usual carriers: Assurant, Anthem, World etc etc

Again the original post stated that anything less than 20% was an insult. That was correct, and to my knowledge this agency does not offer below 20%.

So you get 28% from an unnamed carrier, or through Assurant, Anthem, and World? I'm fairly new in this business as well, are these commissions even possible? I get 20 on everything across the board, except for my secret company which pays me 24%. shhhhhhhh don't read this out loud <Golden Rule>
Seriously though, to the veterans and sages out there, do the big carriers offer higher commissions after years in the business?

The short answer is no, those commissions are not possible for a writing agent.

Street is 20% - some odd carriers such as Avalon pay 30% but that's a promotion due to end.

GA level with most carriers is 25% which would include Assurant, GR and World. 30%+ is MGA comp.

There are odd ways of pulling it off. You can be an Assurant GA and when you write a LEGS deal it's an extra 4% which is 29% however the deal must be written off a LEGS lead.

So this guy is either:

A) lying
B) Writing with some obscure 2nd tier carrier
C) Has the world's dumbest MGA who's at 30% comp and actually giving out 28% which means a 2% override which means he's a boob

This is my final post on this matter.

Here is what has happened to me since I posted a response to a potential new agent asking about this agency:

The top guy has been called a "car salesman", the "dumbest MGA in the world" and "unethical".

In particular, I have been called a 1) a liar, 2) writing some 2nd rate carrier 3) Working for an agency that should be "avoided"

The initial response that this "guru" gave had negative connotations written all over it. Its like he PURPOSLEY went out to pick the bones of what I had said and that he wanted an argument. How silly.

If you had been cordial and professional (which would be expected from a "President" of a so called association) about this I would have been more that happy to divuldge all. But you were not. You entered into a personal crusade to try denigrate what I do and who I am affiliated with.

I know why you wanted to know, so that you could put some negative connotation on whoever the carrier is and why you dont do it etc etc etc. You dont want to see if its a good opportunity, you just want to piss all over it. It seems that if you have not heard of it or have no knowledge of it then you must tear it apart.

You have made so many accusations about this its unbelievable. You call yourself the President of an Independent Association, yet you seem to just go off on one when you hear something that you don't like or have not heard before. You masquerade yourself as the expert, yet all of your accusations are based on opinion only. Theres no substance to what you are saying, you have not confirmed anything with anyone, but still you rant and rave about this matter.

I am sure I could have an opinion on what you do, but guess what, I keep it to myself. Why? Because its opinion only. Is what you do right or wrong? I don't know. How could I know? More to the point, I don't give a rats about it. It does not concern me. Moreover, I am certainly not going to sit on here and belittle someone, which is what you have done.

Again, this is my final post. I am removing myself from this forum after this post. Its not something that I want to be a part of, thankfully after this thread I absolutley know who I need to avoid at all costs in the future.

You would do well to remember: Opinions are like assholes, everyone has one!

That's great, your opinion is welcome.

Here's the beauty of this forum: new agents should be aware that your body of experience is what, one year? Some of the more veteran players around here can point out things that you don't even know you don't know.

They should take that into account when evaluating your opinion.
