Anybody else That cant Stand Monumental?

I received an email from Monumental today telling me that "an important announcement was coming soon". Don't know why they could not tell me what the he## it is. Does anyone that has lofty conntections know what this announcement is? Possibly deleting all amendments or taking less then 48 hours to update an application requirement? Curious here and yes that was sarcasm.

Must be real good if they are trying to build up anticipation.:nah:

I'm pretty sure it's that they are going to start taking the SS DE card for monthly payments.

Thats as big an announcement they can get huh? lol. Thanks JD...thought you might know. I spent another 20 minutes on phone with Transamerica on them losing an amendment I had faxed in last wednesday. I am really fed up with Trans/Mon right now.

I hate doing business with them and I rarely do because of that. I've writen 3 apps with them this year.

I might use them some more when they start taking the DE card but Americo is supposed to start taking it too. That will move Mon further back than they already are.

They merged with BankRate. At least it would sense, since Mon and Netquote are using same leads.

I wrote my first Monumental today. The only reason I did was because this woman was only 55, had copd but no oxygen and only med was for the copd. I was able to get her immediate standard whereas everyone else would have put her on the 2 year graded plan (as far as I know). I heard bad things about them but wanted to get her the immediate coverage if at all possible.

You might look at Columbian Mutual. 50 and above COPD with no oxygen there is no difference in premium.

You better call UW on that. I read the app the same way you did and submitted a case and put in the notes COPD but no O2, and they declined. When I called to see what's up, they said that product was not designed for COPD. When I said, "But the way the question reads". I got cut off. The UW said he knew how it read and it needs to be changed. COPD with Columbian is GI, they told me.

Now if the lady doesn't smoke and is not on O2, Assurity will take them level.

I hope monumental doesnt give mine any issues. She could have had same face amount graded for less money but is paying an extra $12/mo for the peace of mind of immediate coverage.

No that was in reply to him recommending Columbian. You're fine in that situation with Monumental.
