Anybody use Infosource Leads?

I was contacted on LinkedIn by these guys. They're an offshore call center, but what was intriguing is that they're not the usual Filipino or Indian telemarketers. They're from Guyana, where they say English is the official language, and spoken by practically everybody that lives there. Seems like a low price for real time delivery leads, and low minimum order, which is helpful for somebody like me who just needs a few at a time.
So, has anybody tried them.

I guess it sounds kind of like Jamaican mon. Never heard of Infosource Leads.

The rep sent me a couple of sample recordings. They sounded like a cross between a Caribbean and Latino accent. I pulled up a Wiki article on Guyana. It's on the north coast of South America, but is considered part of the Caribbean community. It was a British colony until they won their independence. English is still the official language, but apparently most people speak Guyanese Creole, which is why they sound sort of Jamaican.

The recordings actually sounded pretty good. Not sure they're that much better than the Filipino telemarketers. I can't speak for the rest of the country, but the Dallas area is an extremely diverse, multinational community. As long as they're speaking English clearly, a foreign accent isn't going to put anybody off.

(Your geography lesson today was free! :1wink:)

Thanks. I learned of the creole part of the accent while searching for a video. Until today, I thought Guyana was in Africa. I guess I was mixing it up with Ghana.

Yes, we've actually been using them for a few years now. I'm not sure why they are still using the name "InfoSource" as that is not the name of the company in Guyana. They are called NPI Communications, Inc.

Tara Edwards is the one that used to own InfoSource. I have not idea what happened to her but one day she was available and the next day she wasn't.

Either way, the lead quality probably hasn't changed.

Sounds like you're reasonably pleased with them, so I might give them a try (since they're offering an intro discount!).
