I found a sample "Live" site and it forces those who signed on "for free" to upgrade for $199.00 with the following terms and conditions:
I understand that the High Def Nation discount membership I am enrolling in is NOT INSURANCE. I fully understand that I am purchasing a membership in the High Def Nation discount healthcare program that includes non-insurance discount healthcare services . I understand that the non-insurance discount healthcare services are effective in fifteen (15) days from the time the application is received and accepted. The Generic Prescription Card, however, goes into effect forty-five (45) days after enrollment. All Insurance Products fall under the guidelines of the Insurance Carrier underwriting the Insurance Products and the Department of Insurance. High Def Nation reserves the right to change the Terms and Conditions at any time given a thirty (30) day notice.
High Def Nation membership is month to month and its renewal will be automatic by continuing the payment of the monthly membership dues. There is no renewal fee. In addition to paying monthly, the membership dues can be paid quarterly, semi-annually, or annually. If the member wishes to change their billing cycle, they should contact High Def Nation at . Members may, however, cancel their membership without giving a reason during the first 30 days. In the event you wish to cancel your membership during the first thirty days, you will receive a refund* of your membership dues and application fee by returning your membership package and all membership cards postmarked during the first 30 days. The discount healthcare services are available through various providers, not High Def Nation, and provide members with access to those healthcare providers willing and agreeing to provide discounted member pricing to High Def Nation members. High Def Nation contracts with providers to allow members to receive pre-determined discounts on the provider's services. High Def Nation members may visit any network provider, and will be given a discount when payment to the provider is made. High Def Nation makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the provider's services. All matters between members and healthcare providers are handled directly between members and the healthcare providers, without participation by High Def Nation. All services available to High Def Nation members are provided by third parties, not by High Def Nation. Member agrees to look exclusively to service providers and that High Def Nation is neither responsible for nor liable for the acts and omissions of any service provider. High Def Nation continues to seek the most experienced and capable service providers at the lowest member cost and will provide member assistance in processing inquiries, complaints, and service requests of service providers.
All High Def Nation providers are fully licensed in their applicable states of service to provide the specified services to High Def Nation members. High Def Nation is not an insurer nor does it provide payment or indemnity to members nor is it licensed to provide nor does it provide life insurance, medical insurance, dental insurance, or any related form of preferred provider service.
High Def Nation is not a discount buying service organization. The goods and services made available to High Def Nation members may be available from time to time in member's locale from the same or similar service providers and at the same or lower cost. High Def Nation strives at all times, but does not guarantee, to provide the lowest cost to its members from the service providers.
This Agreement is not binding until received and accepted by High Def Nation at its home offices in Houston, TX.
Membership entitles the primary cardholder and all household members to all discount services in the program they purchased. The Generic Prescription Card includes the primary cardholder, the spouse, and legal dependents up to age 19 or age 23 if full-time students.
