Anyone Heard of High Def Nation Health Insurance?

I thought this might be how you would "play" it. Just don't believe it. The costs per room were plainly written in admittance.
Are you saying this is Limited health insurance?
"Association group insurance benefits provided through a blanket special risk insurance policy (GA 26932–003) issued and underwritten by United States Fire Insurance Company."

How about telling us what it pays toward surgeries?

Well, let's go down a list:
-Appendectomy
-Pregnancy
-Diagnostics (especially an MRI)
-DME (durable medical equipment)
-Mental/behavioral health
-Chemotherapy
-Dialysis (ok, maybe I'm cheating on that one).

A dear friend of mine died about 4 years ago while she was in her mid 20s. One drug alone was $10k every two weeks. How would this plan have covered her? Would I have carried her casket to her grave two years earlier because she wouldn't have been able to afford treatment because her "insurance" wouldn't have covered it?

If something happens to my kid and they need expensive physical therapy to regain the use of their legs after a sports accident, am I going to resent the person that sold me this plan because I thought it was insurance when I got it?

If my doc notices a mole that gets his attention, what would I pay to have it removed? What would it cover for my cancer treatments?

Health insurance is serious business.

That's adorable. You think that's all inclusive?

Show us the summary of benefits.

It most definitely is a limited benefit plan. Have never seen a blanket SPECIAL RISK plan that provided comprehensive benefits. I think it is you that refuses to believe what uis right in front of your eyes. I had a quadruple bypass but was on in the hospital 3 days. The bills totaled close to 100K. How much would your blanket special risk leave me owing of that bill. Just recently I had cancer ..The bills exceeded 150K but I didn't spend a single day in the hospital.. Would your SPECIAL RISK plan have paid the majority of that bill?

I thought your girlfriends were all made of rubber.

Nah, but he does buy them nice lingerie:

From what I'm reading - he would have still been covered!
His hospital bill has been $1000 a day in ICU. This covers $2,000/day. In fact, I think he would have had better care with all the other coverage included.

I guess this thread can close as I stayed until launch date.
Thanks for all your input - good or crazy :1tongue:

The average cost of a hospital stay in the US is close to 4K per day and that isn't in ICU.

dude... stop gettin sick.... we feel for ya

[In the program disclosures, it clearly states it is not comprehensive health insurance. How about telling us what it pays toward surgeries?[/quote]

Hmmm. I shall ask that question.
A "quote' on the website states this -
"I had surgery recently and my membership saved me literally over $30,000..."
Regina B., Nevada

Am I to assume that the Advocate stepped in for this?

Supposedly, this is group health insurance - is group health insurance very different from Individual? Is this similar to what some get through an employer? I never got into Group health.

I must say that with the economy, many people signed up for our AP "MD health" at $50 a month simply because they could not afford anything more. But I never liked it because that offered no hospital at all. No emergency, etc. And I would explain that to them. Some bought it anyway.
Could this HD plan be an alternative for them?

I wonder if this would meet the requirement for HCR?

Thanks,

I'm convinced that Suis is either the dumbest person ever to post on the forum (and there has been some real competition) or is having a great time screwing with us.

Pretty sure it's the former.

Ok - I apologize - geez you guys get so bent out of shape!
I will tell you - Now don't get mad at the truth. True story! Swear on anything precious. But my own sister had a liver transplant and the bill rose to over $400,000 and the "advocate" got it down to less than $80,000. In Chicago
at a top hospital. And his group insurance covered the $80.
Hers was an emergency.

But I AGREE that I would not like to rely on that. ok?
I mean you can't schedule a surgery through an advocate - I understand that.
