Anyone Heard of USHealth Advisors?

The truth on USHA Plans:

They are not ACA compliant, and customers can and DO get penalties.

They do not pay the best in the industry, and I can prove it. Other companies offer policies that are the same or better coverage and pay the same or better commissions, however USHA agents lose around 40% of their customers in underwriting. Since they are captive, they can't write the policy anywhere else. So therefore, they don't make as much money as an agent that can write a similar product but also take care of the customer that gets denied.

USHA is a retread of UGA with the same cult recruiting and attitude. Once you are in, they shame other companies and get you to believe that they are the only thing out and the only choice.

The $95 app fee to join is not a major ordeal as they have expenses for stuff to onboard you and probably don't want to deal with someone who can't afford to be an agent.

The leads they get they pass out to like 100 agents for each lead which is why they give out "lots of leads". The ones that work them are the ones that sell and make money, so I get that. But again, they lose business in UW.

If you are a USHA agent or thinking about being one, you should really pop your head up and look around as there are TRULY TRULY TRULY better choices out there, but they will try to convince you otherwise. Don't be a cult member, be a free person.

I'm calling you out on the commission claim. You said you can prove that there are better commissions, I'll tell you my contract level, and you can tell me yours for a comparable product.

It's almost pointless since no company offers a plan even remotely similar. It's either STM or medisharr which I sh*t on daily

It's about time someone stepped up to the plate and called it like it is. Too bad the BBB doesn't run the DOI. Comments are spot on about the ACA penalty misrepresentations.

Freedom Life Insurance Company of America | Better Business Bureau® Profile

Alert
BBB found insurance agents associated with USHealth Group, Inc, the parent company of Freedom Life Insurance Company of America, had posted positive reviews on the company's BBB Business Profile. BBB's customer review policy states a reviewer may not have a personal or business affiliation with the business they are filing the review for.

In response to BBB's allegations, the company stated they identified the agents who posted the positive reviews and claimed they were customers of the business.

Pattern of Complaint
Based on BBB files, Freedom Life Insurance Company of America has a pattern of disputes alleging product and contract issues. Consumers allege the insurance agents from Freedom Life Insurance Company of America inform them that certain benefits are available in the plans they select. However, consumers later find out post enrollment that those benefits are not included and are subsequently billed for services they believed were included in their plans. Furthermore, consumers are informed by Freedom Life Insurance of America agents that the health insurance plans they enroll into are compliant with the Affordable Care Act. However, the consumers later find that the plans are not ACA compliant and are fined penalties by their states for not meeting the minimum coverage requirements.

USHealth Group, Inc, Freedom Life Insurance Company of America's parent company, responded to the pattern by refuting the claims made by BBB. USHealth Group, Inc states they have robust mechanisms in place that ensure consumers are well aware of the type of coverage they are enrolling in. Additionally, the business states due to the high number of applications they process the complaint size is too small to be labeled as a pattern and that the increase in the number of complaints correlates with the growth of their business.

ACA penalties are a joke; and any decent agent can get their clients exempt. If you do your research this is a non issue for most self-employed people. Dm me if you need help in this area.

This company seems to be legit. Thinking about contracting with them but I've need now reconsidering based on some of these posts.

As long as you are with a good division. It will likely be the smartest move of your career

So I'm curious. I keep running across them at networking meetings, etc. They are so pushy and aggressive that I thought they probably got a really high commission. Does anyone want to share what their top commission is?

For an indemnity plan, their plans aren't cheap.

First off, it's not an indemnity plan. These products are the real deal. If you want some state approved brochures, dm me.

But the intro contract is roughly 16% for the health plan. 70% for critical illness. 55% for accident policy. 55% for term life. No point in telling you the TOP contract cuz you won't get it as we promote from within.

Oh yeah, and that's an 8 mo advance. And the company assumes your clients are going to stay on for a full year so they take the remaining 4 months and they create a reserve account. Basically once you have a handful of sticky deals go through you build up a reserve account the is used for future cancellations. That's right, as long as your writing halfway decent business, NO CHARGEBACKS!!!!

AND, we have quarterly bonuses based off association memberships as well. I've been with the company 2 years and my quarterly is just over 5k.

And that's not even counting the stock I'm earning. As long as an agent issues over 200k per year in good business, they earn share credits, and are vested after 5yrs. The more modest stock check are around 40-50k annually.

If you give this company 4-5 good years, there is no other health insurance company that comes close as far as compensation.

Dude, it's an indemnity plan. Please dont state it is major medical. And the complaint is for agents lying.

I live in Dallas and make 500k a year. Get me out of penalty jackass

It's not an indemnity plan!!! For the record, and you obviously have not reviewed our product brochures, which I'm happy to provide.

I grew up in euless, went to elementary school in colleyville, went to high school in grapevine.

I try to be the best agent that I can for anyone I speak with. Even if it means that I can't sign up the person I'm talking to.

Texas, in 2018, is one of the easiest states to get an exemption for. Check the hyper-link my dude.

CMS Creates New ACA Penalty Mandate Exemptions, Including Opposition to Abortion

I have sooooooooooo many clients in Texas that are getting exempt from the tax penalty this year.

This is a nonissue. Plus the fact that most Dallas and surrounding zip codes only have 1 ACA provider; this, in and of itself, is an exemption.

High-level income does not disqualify you from a tax exemption from the ACA mandate; if you are as smart as you think you are...... you should have figured it out by now.

I can help you avoid those penalties. Hit me up!!!!! Seriously, me and several hundred clients of mine have been avoiding them for years.

You can hide behind your SN, and call me names all you like, but I can help you,and I don't mind taking a few minutes to do so.

Abortion and single carrier counties were last minute hail Mary's for you. Announced 3 months ago. What about past 4 years????

So - an Agent doesn't get paid a pass-thru commission on months 8 thru 12?
